The phantom houses 5 different exchangeable tissue-equivalent material inserts used for the HU to electron density calibration of CT/CBCT scanners and radiation therapy treatment planning systems in research studies and experimental setups.

All tissue-equivalent materials represent the real human tissue with respect to physical density and electron density (acc. to ICRU Report 44 and 46) which are of highest interest in radiation oncology treatment planning
