  • Micro-CT Bar Pattern NANO, QRM-70119

Line and hole patterns (1– 150 microns)

3 different models, including a variety of different line and hole patterns

  • Micro-CT Bar Pattern Air or Resin (5 – 150 µm (i.e. 100 to 3.3 lp / mm) structures on the 5 mm x 5 mm chips)
  • Micro-CT Bar Pattern, NANO (1 – 10 µm (i.e. 500 to 50 lp / mm) structures on the 3 mm x 3 mm chips)

Preclinical or Industrial micro-CT

  • The Micro-CT Bar Pattern, Resin or Micro-CT Bar Pattern, NANO are intended to be used in preclinical imaging (small animal CT)
  • It is recommended using the Micro-CT Bar Pattern, Air or Micro-CT Bar Pattern, NANO for the resolution tests in industrial CT (NDT)

The Micro-CT Bar Pattern Phantoms are used to assess the spatial resolution in micro-CT in a direct visual manner. The phantoms offer an alternative to indirect methods for the evaluation of spatial resolution in high-resolution X-ray imaging modalities.

Bar and point structures down to 5 microns (air, QRM-70113 and resin, QRM-70114) or down to 1 micron (NANO, QRM-70119)

Two resolution test chips in perpendicular orientation

The phantoms contain two chips, one orientated axial and one oriented perpendicular (sagittal) to it.

The chips are mounted on a slim support in air (QRM-70113, QRM-70119) or embedded within a resin cylinder (QRM-70114).

The optimized arrangement of the different bar and point structures allows for the evaluation of spatial resolution in the center as well as in the periphery of the image in one single measurement.

Bar and point structures down to 1 micron

The chips have several line and point patterns ranging from 5 to 150 microns, as shown on the Micro-CT Bar Pattern Air chip.

Micro-CT Bar Pattern NANO allows line widths and points down to 1 micron.

Our bar pattern phantoms contain a variety of bar and point structures.

Both 3 mm x 3 mm chips on Micro-CT Bar Pattern, NANO Phantom have several lines and point patterns down to 1 micron, corresponding to 500 to 50 lp / mm

Both 5 mm x 5 mm chips on Micro-CT Bar Pattern, Air and Resin phantoms have several lines and point patterns down to 5 microns, corresponding to 3.3 to 100 lp /mm

Micro-CT Bar Pattern Phantoms (Air or Resin)

The Micro-CT Bar Pattern Phantoms (Air or Resin) contain two chips, one orientated axial and one oriented perpendicular (sagittal) to it. The chips are mounted on a slim support in air (Micro-CT Bar Pattern Air, QRM-70113) or embedded within a resin cylinder (Micro-CT Bar Pattern Resin, QRM-70114). The optimized arrangement of the different bar and point structures allows for the evaluation of spatial resolution in the center as well as in the periphery of the image in one single measurement.

QRM-70113, QRM-70114: The 5 mm x 5 mm chips contain bar and point patterns ranging from 5 to 150 microns (i.e. 100 to 3.3 lp / mm). The depth of the structures varies between 70 and 150 microns.

Micro-CT Bar Pattern NANO, QRM-70119

The Micro-CT Bar Pattern NANO, QRM-70119 phantom contains two chips, one orientated axially and one oriented in perpendicular (sagittal) to it. The chips are mounted on a slim support in air. The optimized arrangement of the different bar and point structures allows for the evaluation of the spatial resolution in the center as well as in the periphery of the image in one single measurement.

The 3 mm x 3 mm chips contain bar and point patterns ranging from 1 to 10 microns (i.e. 500 to 50 lp / mm). The depth of the structures varies between 5 and 15 microns. In addition, a slanted edge and a so-called Siemens-star (actinomorphic star) are placed on the chip.
