Cone-Beam Phantom

Compact design for testing diagnostic and cone-beam CT imaging performance

Low-contrast resolution

2 different models with different low contrast sections. The basic version offers contrasts between -3 HU and -20 HU in one section. In addition, the expert version offers three low contrast sections with contrasts between -3 and -200 HU.

Spatial resolution (to 30 lp/cm) and MTF

Using the spatial resolution bar patterns, you can assess the in-plane resolution of the system in a direct visual manner. Additional edge inserts determine the system's MTF in different orientations.

CT Values Accuracy

As part of the QA, the CT values should be monitored  regularly. The image contrast and HU-scale section quantifies the machine's HU-scale and the bone contrast achieved with different settings.

Noise & Homogeneity & Geometric Accuracy

Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and homogeneity can be checked using plain sections in our phantoms. The geometric accuracy section can be used to analyze image distortion.

Cone-Beam Phantom

Our tissue-equivalent phantoms are designed to cover the whole range of image quality parameters and offer the possibility to assess all relevant image quality metrics in accordance with national and international guidelines (e.g. TG 66) and standards (e.g. DIN IEC 61223-3-5 or DIN IEC 61223-2-6):

Cone-Beam Phantom

It is essential to fully quantify the imaging performance of volumetric X-ray scanners and to compare different systems or technical solutions. We offer 2 different models with 8 sections (Basic, QRM-10120) and 9 (Expert, QRM-10103) sections in a compact phantom body:

Low-contrast capabilities

CT value uniformity

CT value accuracy

Image noise

Contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR)

Spatial resolution (ESF, MTF, wedges)

Spatial resolution (visual, line pattern)

Geometric accuracy in-plane

Multi-purpose tissue equivalent phantoms for comparison of different CT and CBCT scanner solutions
