- Mimic the physical X-ray attenuation properties of the human tissues
- Represent the real tissues regarding their physical density and electron density
- In accordance with ICRU reports 44 and 46
- Customizable: different densities or CT-values (HU) and different shapes and designs
Tissue-equivalent materials provide the physical X-ray attenuation properties of soft tissues in the human body such as liver, spleen, vessels, brain, breast, muscle, fat and others, but also different bones as spongious bone, femur or cortical bone.
Beside the standard dimensions (as rods or slab, see specifications), all materials can be manufactured in various shapes as rods, slaps, cubes, spheres and custom designs. Therefore, our materials are ideal for custom phantom design as well as single samples dedicated to calibration and research purposes in diagnostic X-ray imaging and radiation therapy.
See the specifications section for a detailed list of available tissues.
Additional tissue-equivalent materials, as well as HA materials and CTiodine, are available upon request.
