Spectral CT Phantom

Versatile Phantom for Multi-Energy CT Applications

Developed to meet the rigorous demands of CT quality assurance, the Spectral CT Phantom enables precise calibration and performance testing across a wide range of applications in clinical research and multi-energy CT imaging.

Key Advantages

Photon Counting CT

This is a cutting-edge solution designed for advanced multi-energy CT imaging, including PHOTON COUNTING CT protocols in addition to all available spectral CT protocols. All materials tested on NAEOTOM Alpha.

Iodine / CaHA Levels

Featuring tissue-equivalent materials and iodine/CaHA inserts to support multi-energy CT imaging and scanner performance testing.

Compliance

Ideal for various MECT technologies and adheres to AAPM TG-299 standards for establishing quality assurance (QA) programmes in clinics.

Applicational Benefits

Combination with other QRM Phantoms
Spectral CT II Phantom (QRM-10147)
8 holes and multiple test inserts
Combination with other QRM Phantoms

The Spectral CT phantom can be used in combination with the QRM Thorax Phantom (QRM-20100) or the QRM Abdomen Phantom (QRM-20118)

Spectral CT II Phantom (QRM-10147)

Applications

Perform a material characterization and quantification of tissue-equivalent materials.

Decompose Iodine and CaHA levels.

Test the post-processing techniques of spectral CT.

8 holes and multiple test inserts

Flexible positioning of the multiple test inserts

A set with a total of 12 test rods includes different concentrations of Iodine and Ca-Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) as well as water- and soft tissue-equivalents (adipose, muscle, bone, and lung according to ICRU Report 44 and 46). Additionally, inserts with other concentrations or materials can be ordered optionally.

Iodine and CaHA Inserts for Spectral Calibration

The 100 mm cylinder contains 8 holes to house different solid rods and fillable tubes that can be used with water or contrast media. Mass density, electron density and the effective atomic number are provided for all materials.

D100 Compatible

The diameter of the Spectral CT Phantom is 100 mm, so it can be used with our other phantoms such as Thorax Phantom (QRM-20100), Abdomen Phantom (QRM-20118), Oval Body Phantom, Tissue (QRM-20115), CTwater (QRM-20116).

Adipose tissue can be simulated using either the combination (e.g., Thorax Phantom / Abdomen Phantom + Spectral CT Phantom) together with extension rings, or by using the Spectral CT Phantom alone with specially designed water-equivalent extension rings (QRM-10141, diameter: 160 mm or QRM-10142, diameter: 320 mm).
